Ademola Lookman set to dump Atalanta, his possible next club revealed by Fabrizio Romano

Super Eagles winger, Ademola Lookman, is set to leave Atalanta this summer.

According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, this had always been the plan since last year.

“Understand the plan remains for Ademola Lookman to LEAVE Atalanta this summer.

“Atalanta will try to clarify the situation with Gasperini in the next 24 hours after strong quotes… but won’t change future plans.

“It was already planned last summer, transfer to happen this year,” Romano wrote on X.

Lookman’s future at the Serie A club became a topic of discussion among football observers after he was criticised by Gian Piero Gasperini following their defeat to Club Brugge in the Champions League play-off on Tuesday night.

Atalanta lost 3-1 to the Belgian Pro League club and exited the competition 5-2 on aggregate.

Lookman scored the hosts’ only goal of the game and also missed a penalty.

Gasperini blasted the Nigeria international for stepping up to take the penalty after the game.

He has registered 15 goals and six assists in 28 appearances this season.
