Ronaldo Sets Social Media Ablaze With His First Super Hat Trick in Saudi Arabia
Cristiano Ronaldo reenacted his claim as the greatest finisher to have graced football following his super hattrick against Al-Wehda on Thursday.
After struggling in his opening two games in the Saudi Pro League, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid ace finally got off the mark last week.
His crucial last-gasp goal against Al-Fateh seems to have helped in rediscovering his dreaded goal-scoring prowess.
The 38-year-old notched his first super hattrick (scoring four goals in a single game) on Saudi soil against Al-Wehda, increasing his tally to five goals in four games.
On the occasion of bagging four goals, which coincided with his 500th league strike, football fans trooped to social media in their droves to shower praises on Ronaldo.
Below are some of the comments:
@MadridClout wrote: "THE GREATEST THERE IS! THE GREATEST THERE WAS AND THE GREATEST THERE EVER WILL BE."
@EnduranceLazar added: "This is the GOAT."
@Ntalebrian22 corroborated @EnduranceLazar's assertion: "Ronaldo is Goat."
Meanwhile, @Andy4Wild aimed a subtle jab at United with his praise for Ronaldo: "Wow!! They thought he’s dried up yet he hasn’t started and Man United is there drawing with Leeds."
@nikkicruiser also took a swipe at Ronaldo's long-term rival Leo Messi: "And Messi nowhere near a hat-trick in Ligue 1."
